FAQs

Trampoline’s programmes and services are usually contract-based and tied to specific Local Authority areas. The only programme that is currently free and open to all is the one being delivered at Westminster Adult Education Service (WAES), Lisson Grove College. To take part in this, you must have the right to live and work in the UK, must enrol with WAES College, and be available to attend fortnightly masterclasses running on Wednesdays, from 9:15am to 12:45pm. For more information, please contact us at info@trampolinecic.org or 07856 877152.

Our business incubation programmes are usually fully subsidised and free to service users in local authority areas where we have been contracted to deliver them. However, Trampoline also have a number of paid partnership opportunities to deliver support services to individuals or organisations. Please contact us if you want to explore how we can work together.

The SPF: Launchpad programme is for people working and/or living in London Borough of Southwark.  You will need to provide evidence that your work or home address falls within the catchment. Alternatively, you can show proof that you are currently trading (or intend to trade) at a Southwark market.

Please use our postcode checker to see if your postcode falls within the borough.

If you are working/trading within London Borough of Southwark and can provide proof of work hub address/trading address (such as the details of your regular market pitch), you will likely qualify for the programme.

The SPF: Launchpad Grants Funding Scheme is only for people who have been selected to be part of the SPF Main Cohort; if that’s the case, you will be invited to attend an online workshop in early September, during which we will explain the grants funding process. Furthermore, we will offer a number of limited sessions to answer grant applications-related questions. As a Main Cohort member, you can also ask your Business Mentor to dedicate a session to go through your draft grant application with you.

We have made every effort to be as flexible as possible, by offering learning sessions in different formats. All in-person seminars are also offered as online sessions, and all masterclasses are only available online. If you are  unable to attend an in-person seminar, you can access the webinar version two weeks later. Furthermore, all online sessions are recorded and both the session recording and course material are available in our Resource Library, within the Launchpad Account section.

By itself, Trampoline does not provide grants funding or any other financial incentives. However, we offer grants funding when that is available as part of a programme. Within our current programmes, only Southwark Council provide grant funding through the Southwark Pioneers Fund (SPF) and this offer is limited to people selected to be part of the Main Cohort.

Open Days are related to specific programmes and if available, their dates would be listed in the Programme Registration page on our website. Should you meet the programme eligibility criteria, please sign up / sign in to the programme account section to view all activities and book your space. For the SPF: Launchpad programme, Open Day sessions are usually available from September to December.

For the SPF: Launchpad programme, you must attend at least 85% of training sessions and our networking and trading events, and if you are a Main Cohort member, you must attend all your mentoring sessions. We strongly encourage our start-ups to fully commit to the programme to optimise the benefits of taking part in the programme. Please note that, for the SPF: Launchpad programme, only Main Cohort members who have attended at least 85% of training, networking and trading events, AND 100% of mentoring sessions will be eligible to apply for the SPF: Launchpad grants funding scheme.

Our business incubation programmes are designed to run for a minimum of 6 months to a maximum of 9 months. Training sessions are usually 2 to 3 weeks apart, during term-times (we don’t run activities during half-terms or holiday periods). However, our delivery model is very flexible and accomodates for in-person, online, and remote learning options, with the latter providing access to recordings and course presentations.

Unfortunately, Trampoline do not provide evening and weekend classes however, for most programmes, you can have access to session recordings and course materials, so you can learn at your own time and pace.

Only Main Cohort members who participate in at least 85% of training, networking, and traiding events AND 100% of their mentoring sessions will be eligible to apply for the SPF: Launchpad grant funding scheme. Furthermore, applying for a grant does not guarantee you will receive one, as the scheme is very competitive and start-ups must demonstrate how the grant will enable them to scale up their business.

Unfortunately, no. Only SPF: Launchpad’s Main Cohort members can apply.

Unfortunately, once you have registered on the course you will not be allowed to rejoin the following year.  If you do not feel ready to commit to Main Cohort, we advise accessing Light Touch Support until you are ready to develop your business further.

All our current programmes are listed on our website’s Programmes page and registration / application is only possible through Registration Portals on our websites. Please subscrite to Trampoline Insider, our monthly newsletter, and/or follow us on social media to hear about new programme launch and registration.

We provide business incubation support to aspiring, pre-start and start-up entrepreneurs who are looking to formalise their business idea, set up an enterprise, pilot it, develop their business operations and/or scale up their business. We usually support social enterprises and purely commercial businesses from inception stage (pre-start) to around 24 months old. Our support services are not aimed at purely charitable organisations.

Whenever available, Open Days are an opportunity for prospective clients to receive more information about our programmes, to talk about business ideas, and to meet other likeminded local entrepreneurs. You can also learn about the application process and what to expect on the programme journey.

You can join our other programmes, subject to meeting eligibility criteria. We currently only offer weekly one-to-one Business Surgery sessions to people living or work in Southwark.

Main Cohort members are entrepreneurs selected to take advantage of the full programme; the selection is usually based on the business’ viability and feasibility, and the entrepreneur’s commitment to fully participate in our programme. Benefits of being a Main Cohort member vary from one programme to the next; for the SPF: Launchpad programme for example, MC Members have priority free access to training / learning events, networking and trading events, mentoring support, as well as being able to apply for the SPF: Launchpad Grants Funding Scheme.

Typically, the programme registration process opens in mid-September (date to be confirmed) and remains open for 3 to 4 months, until mid to end of january.

Participation in our programmes should not affect your benefit entitlement however, for more information, we suggest you talk to your support officer or job coach before starting our programme.

For information about out services and programmes, please contact Trampoline Support Team, from Monday to Thursday, between 10am and 4:30pm, at info@trampolinecic.org or 07856 877152.
